I am hoping that this is no April fools joke.

That NASA will actually do this as a way to spur on competion. I know that we have discussed this on a couple of times in the past month.

This is not an April Fools joke, but we have a few of those on the other site :)

I see that NASA is entertaining from the side a robotic mission for repair and states in the article that there were another 24 submissions from other organizations to do the repairs and modifications to the Hubble. Is there any specifics as to these other ways to service the Hubble for public viewing or is this to be kept on the need to know hush hush side of things.

Just sent this to the commission for Ideas for the Hero image and of gaining financing of the project.

I have some more Ideas, some of which are the result of and from listening to the video streaming of the broadcast from each commission hearing. I do not remember the ID number from my earlier postings since I am home at this time typing this up before I forget.

This is what I have for the Moon to Mars,
Collectible memorabilia is a broad term. Which includes Coffee cups, posters, clocks, and a lot of other style of items.

1. The one that comes to mind that will greatly create the Hero image of old and capture the current Hero’s of the now generation is a spin off from Baseball cards. You know the sports hero’s with statistics of your favor players on the back. Some of these are Holographic and other are simple laminated cardboard/ poster paper. People of all ages collect cards young and old alike for a verity of reasons.

Start a series of the Hero’s of each era starting with some of the X-series all the way up to the Shuttle with cards that have the rockets, mission types and Astronauts that each where part of. Next do a series of cards that show the robotic exploration of the planets, the planets with average information of size and such. Then finish the series off with all the fallen Hero’s from the Apollo, Shuttles and any others that I forgot make these the Holographic style.

2. Other Items such as playing cards with each astronaut on the front with the normal suits and numbers. The products can be pens, Posters, models of each robot craft and landers as well as many more of the lower priced products.

These items should have the Moon to Mars’s logo, NASA and maybe others that are appropriate. Each sale could donate a percentage back to the SEI vision of President Bush or flat rate which ever is appropriate for the value of the item.

I would say that being this is the second time noises have been heard from what is speculated as impact cause. Maybe it would be time and a good idea to put some of the same sensors that would be used on the shuttles leading edge of the RCC panels in key areas of the ISS as well.
