Including the restructuring of Nasa to be more like a business, the continuation of a commision like board and including the thought of the Commission making NASA a Cabinet post.

That's because most of what's in the report was taken directly from the hearings themselves. If you had been watching all of the hearings, especially the last one, you could have written the report yourself. What most of us were waiting for was the language that wrapped those recommendations, how forceful were they, did they explicity include ALL centers in the FFRDC recommendation, etc. The only surprize was the inclusion of a discussion on property rights.

Posted by: Michael Mealling at June 17, 2024 05:53 AMThe report is all fine and all however one thing leads me to believe there is to much rethoric and things so complicated that actually getting to where we want to go is going to take..a very, very ,long time...These people have to understand that this needs to be focused at the American people;in your face ,to put it directly....This is a vision of the positive side of the human species...not a negative such as the war in Iraq and Afghanistan.....I firmly believe that not enough time or effort was put forth to show the American people what this is all about.....Dan Rather of CBS news should have taken a clue from his old boss Walter Cronkite..If Crokite was at the helm this issue would have made the news every night !!!Who knows..maybe its time for NASA and the American public to see another countries flag on the Moon..How would they feel then ??!!!!...Jake
